I have found it difficult to become dependent on others for everyday activity. When you're the breadwinner of the family and everyone depends on you for everything, it is a huge change to have all of them taking care of you. you really find out just how special your friends and family are and who you can count on when you have this happen to you. You also find out who your friends are and this is surprising because some folks who you thought were not very close friends of the first ones to jump in and help out. This is been a real blessing as many people are helping Nancy and the children to care of me and she needs the help that she works very hard during the day and must work just as hard at night to help me to everything. She stays very tired but she never complains and always offers to help without being asked. I am very fortunate to have such a loving wife and my closest friend.
Hopefully some people start following this blog, and I'll make a commitment to release make one or two entries a week into this blog, as I will share my experiences dealing with ALS on a daily basis. For now I'm going to stop gather my thoughts and make additional entries later this evening or first thing Tuesday morning. Hope all of you have a great day.
